Have you ever considered why it’s so difficult for you to love YOU? Yes, why it’s so difficult for you to love yourself fully and completely?
I have so many theories on why this might be but the top one is this…
You find it difficult to love yourself fully because you aren’t being yourself!
You have managed to create a life full of everyone else’s choices, opinions, dreams, and goals and NOT your own. So when you get to this point in life where you are like “oh shit, I should probably love myself more”, it becomes difficult.
For one you are full of shame and guilt for things not working out the way they were “supposed to” (because hey, those things.. may not have been meant for you)
Second, you are too anxious and depressed to even think about loving yourself fully and what that may even mean, because you’ve been living someone else’s life.
Are you picking up what I’m putting down here?
Every day is a new opportunity to make the choices that are correct for you and ONLY you.
No one can know what is correct for you unless they are you. And guess what? No one is you, other than you. (That sounded like a Dr. Seuss book)
Become really aware of the things you are choosing and WHY you are choosing them.
Is it because you truly value them?
Or because you value that validation you think it will bring you?
Is it because you really desire this?
Or because you’ve been brainwashed to believe it will get you to “where you should be” by the time you are whatever age you are?
