It doesn’t really matter what you celebrate, the holiday season is here in full swing and I wanted to wish you happy holidays. Now, HAPPY and holidays may sound like it goes together but if you’re receiving this blog chances are you are quite self aware and may be wondering HOW you are supposed to stay happy and joyful when aunt Susan is an energy drag and Uncle Bob is a misogynist. Here are a few tips to keeping a positive mindset …
1. STOP JUDGING. Those of you that have worked with me know damn well that we never know what’s really going on for another. Whether it’s a past life, childhood traumas, shadow beliefs, etc. We humans have blinders on and are only ever able to see about 2% of what’s REALLY going on. So who are we to judge others?
2. GRATITUDE is the best attitude. If #1 is true (and we don’t know anything), then let’s take the time to really be grateful for what we DO know and have. If you’ve been doing the deep dark work, be grateful for the resources and the strength. If you’ve been filling your days with friends and loved ones, be grateful for that. I want to steer your attention away from feeling pity for others for NOT having these things and just stay in your lane. Be happy and grateful for what you have (rather than what someone else doesn’t have). It’s important to recognize that pity is a very low energy point. Instead of pity, give strength and hope to others.
3. Be a DETECTIVE. There’s a mystery that needs to be solved. It’s going on in your mind. There are some criminal thoughts that are being allowed into the temple and they need to be escorted out. But they are regulars there and the bouncer doesn’t even know which is which. And if he does, he feels BAD asking them to leave. So it’s up to you to get quiet, decide who you are willing to let into the temple, and then kick out the culprits that bringing down the energy in the temple. This is how you stay high vibe in a low vibe world. Don’t let your lower archetypes take over in times when you need your energy high to ward off external negativity (Aunt Sue and Uncle Bob ;))
Let’s be honest, these keys are great to practice ALL the time. But especially when you know you may be around others who don’t jive with you and your energy.
